It's designed to be used on any 2" front or rear hitch to save you from having to mess around with any more snow blowers or shovels. Stay inside the car with the heat on and avoid the frost bite.

SnowSport® Frequently Asked Questions

Can I install a SnowSport® myself?

Yes, installation is simple and the instructions are clear-cut. If you do need assistance, call 1-866-414-5422 between 7:30am - 5:30pm CST. To install the front mount hitch for the SnowSport® HD Utility Plow plan about 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your level of experience. From there the blade attaches in minutes. The SnowSport® 180 plow simply plugs into a 2 rear receiver. The SnowSport® ATV Plow is quickly attached by pins, no drilling or bolting is required.

Do I need to paint the blade to keep it looking good?

No, the blade is made of clear anodized, hardened extruded aluminum. It never rusts or needs to be painted.

How can a SnowSport® operate without hydraulics?

As you push snow, the blade travels up and down as needed by gravity. The rubber cutting edge is designed to cut through the snow but pass over the harder ground surfaces below and be gentle on grass. When you back up, the blade automatically lies back, skimming over the surface. Then you drive forward and the blade re-engages for plowing.

How do you switch from transporting to plowing or from plowing to transporting?

The operator manually lowers the blade one end at a time to start plowing. When the plowing job is done lift the blade one end at a time onto the push frame for transporting.

How easy is a plow to hook up or un-hook between jobs?

Its very easy. Just insert the push frame into the front receiver hitch and secure with pin. Then hang the blade one end at a time onto the push frame (can be done in less than a minute). Unhooking is just as easy.

How much do the plows weigh?

The SnowSport® HD Utility Plows aluminum blade is about 110 lbs. The complete kit with blade, push frame and hitch is about 225 lbs. The SnowSport® 180 Plows blade weighs 56 lbs. The SnowSport® ATV Utility Plow has 3 different sizes ranging from 54 - 72” with a blade weight range of 92 - 103 lbs. Complete kits with the blade and front mount range from 109 - 132 lbs.

How well does the rubber cutting edge hold up?

The rubber cutting edge is 1” thick and 6” high - made of a durable rubber compound. The life expectancy of the rubber is 10+ years.

" The plow woks better than I expected and is fine for my purpose. I use it for a rather wide and long driveway. It saves me considerable time compared to the snow thrower. "

" For our usage, its works great. We have saved a good bit of money this season. We are a non-profit agency and need to use our donated dollars wisely. This purchase was a wise choice to help us with that. "

" Well made product. Not difficult to assemble. The instructions were good. I've used this plow twice on the rear and twice on the front of my truck. Largest snowfall was about 5". Still waiting for the big storm. Overall it has worked out well. Its not a 100% clean scrape on blacktop especially if initial ground cover is sleet or is already packed down but that is the hard rubber blade & slight back drag design. The trade off is well worth this product compared to using my snow blower in the cold & wind. Takes me 10-15 min with the SnowSport in a warm truck versus an hour snow blowing. The backup camera I have helps plowing when rear mounted. Easy on, easy off. Open the garage door & backout plowing. That is nice. Assuming the blade & hardware hold up a few years, which it looks like it should, I will give it an advanced grade of 4 stars! "

" The blade has been assembled & "dry mounted" but the Vancouver winter has not provided snow, this year, but we are "ready". Everything went together smoothly and according to instructions. We have tow-bar mounts on the front of the Suzuki, and designed a transition bracket, to provide for a front mount. It looks great, and ready to go to work. "

" Good product for the price. When I first bought the plow I used it on the rear receiver, and that didn't work very well. So I bought a front receiver and that works much better. "

" I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate the SnowSport 180. I have a long 150ft uphill driveway and having a snow plow will definitely be helpful. I placed my order on December 14 and I was surprised to see the snow plow arrived about 1 week early. Even better, it arrived the afternoon before our first snow storm started. Since then, we have had 3 snow storms. Again, thank you very much for a great product. "

" Thanks! I did get your companies rear snow plow I have a backup camera on my Honda Ridgeline. Tried it for the first time the same night that Yankee Customs installed it in Brockton, MA. I pushed two day old snow 22 inches high at my driveway thats 20' by 40' so easy that no words can express my satisfaction. "

" Just a note to tell you that I think the SnowSport 180 is fantastic. I bought one in December and it has worked very well clearing snow from my 150 foot gravel driveway. It works so well that I sold my snow blower! It takes me about 10-15 minutes to clear the entire driveway, and the snow blower sometimes took a couple of hours. Now I can clear the driveway from the comfort and warmth of my truck cab! "
